Devotional: "He Knew Before He Called"
Scripture: “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29 (NASB)
Are you sitting in a place today wondering how you got there? Maybe you feel like you’ve strayed too far or wasted too much time. Bishop Dennis has a word for you: God is not finished with you. He knew exactly what you would go through—the mistakes, the straying, and the “how did I get here” moments—long before He ever called you. If He chose you then, knowing everything, He isn’t changing His mind now. His calling on your life is irrevocable. Your failure hasn’t cancelled His purpose; it has only set the stage for a mighty work of restoration. Stop looking at your unfaithfulness and start looking at His faithfulness. Get up, thank Him for His everlasting love, and step back into your position in the ekklesia.
Reflection: What area of your life have you “changed your mind” about because of a mistake? Today, align your mind with the King’s mind: He hasn’t moved, and His call on you remains.
